Lucia hummed quietly, her back resting against the door as she sat with her legs crossed. Her hands gripped the front and back covers of the tome, keeping it fanned open on her lap. Her normally gentle, green eyes had an intense gleam as she devoured the information from the Light Magic section she had skimmed earlier.
“I never thought I’d be interested in magic at all…” She mused, the memory of the accidental awakening of her powers flashing before her eyes before the musty pages of the tome took its place. “…But if I really do have this power, I should at least try to learn what I can do with it. I don’t wanna learn anything destructive, not like the Shadowmancer wants. But…if I can use this…Lumina magic to heal or protect people…that’d be nice…”
Lucia continued flipping through the pages, absorbing whatever knowledge she could, no matter how insignificant it seemed to her childish brain. Her studying, however, was interrupted by the faint chatter from the other side of the door. Holding the book still in her hands, she subtly pressed her ear against the door.
“So, the Master left the lair?”
